Two people have been involved in a crash in North Dorset.

A car came off the B3081 at Woodhouse Cross near Gillingham and ended up in a hedge.

No other vehicles were involved.

Firefighters from Gillingham and Wincanton were called to the scene yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said:

"One occupant was already out of the vehicle on the arrival of firefighters but one person was unable to leave the vehicle because of the hedge.

"Fire crews assisted with their release and both casualties were handed over to the care of paramedics."
