Two dogs, suspected of being banned breeds, have been seized from a Dorchester home - along with a quantity of cannabis.

Police carried out a search warrant at an address off Celtic Crescent on Thursday evening (15th August).

The dogs have been taken in, while officers check if they're registered.

Two men in their 50s are also helping officers with their enquiries.

PC Glen Caddy, of Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“This warrant was carried out following information received from the local community.

“We are determined to disrupt any suspected drug-related activity in our area.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding suspected criminal activity to please contact us at www.dorset.police.uk. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
