Two arrests made following Bournemouth boxing event disorder

Dorset Police are continuing to appeal for phone footage of fights

Two arrests have been made by Dorset Police, as they continue to investigate disorder reports at a Bournemouth boxing event.

A man in his 30s was assaulted during the event at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday 27th May - suffering a serious injury to his ear.

A 47 year old man from Bournemouth has now been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH with intent, and affray.

He's been released under investigation.

A 21 year old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray, and has since been given a conditional police caution.

Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of BCP CID, said:

“We are continuing to investigate the reported assault, as well as a number of other fights that occurred involving spectators in the crowds.

“I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on mobile phone footage from within the stadium to please come forward.

“While our enquiries are continuing, I would appreciate information from anyone who was present and knows the identities of those involved.”
