Strong winds are still affecting Dorset this morning.

Yesterday a tree came down on to a parked car in Great Western Road in Dorchester.

Dorset Council say two cars in total were damaged.

Dorset Police say no one was injured.

A police spokesperson told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"We received a report at 6.37pm on Monday (3 May) that a tree had fallen across Great Western Road in Dorchester.

"There were no reports of any injuries.

"The local authority was made aware and the road was closed."

A spokesperson for Dorset Council told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"Highways closed the road and Knighton Countryside Management attended to remove the fallen tree, which took several hours. The area was tidied of debris and the road reopened."
