Tractor destroyed by fire in Meplash
Firefighters from Bridport and Beaminster were called out yesterday afternoon
A tractor has been destroyed in a fire near Bridport.
Firefighters from Bridport and Beaminster were called to farmland in Melplash yesterday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said:
"On arrival the incident commander requested one small off-road vehicle and one heavy off-road appliance to attend due to the location.
"The fire was extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and one CAFS (compressed air foam) main line.
"The tractor was destroyed but the grass cutter was saved."
