Icy rail conditions caused disruption on the trains in Dorset this morning.

A Yellow Weather Warning for ice was issued for the county.

Trains were forced to run at reduced speeds between Wool and Dorchester South, which also impacted on services between Weymouth and Bournemouth.

The situation has now been resolved.

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said:

"We were earlier informed of ice affecting the electric rail between Wool and Dorchester South.

"The problem has been resolved and is no longer affecting trains."

"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.

"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
