Three more arrests made following Dorchester thefts from vehicles
There's been a spate of incidents since September
Three more arrests have been made by police in Dorchester, who are investigating a series of thefts from vehicles.
A number of cases have been reported in and around the county town since the start of September.
Now, a 31 year old man from Yeovil, and a 36 year old man from Dorchester have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle and fraud offences.
A 37 year old woman from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and fraud offences.
This brings the total number of arrests made in connection with these reports to ten.
PC Glen Caddy, of the Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), said:
“We are continuing to investigate all of these matters and we want reassure local residents that we are taking appropriate action and all proportionate lines of enquiry are being covered.
“I would continue to urge vehicle owners to remain vigilant and report anyone seen acting suspiciously around vehicles to contact us immediately.
“We also strongly advise people to never leave valuables in their vehicles and ensure they are locked securely at all times. More crime prevention advice can be found on the Dorset Police website or on our social media channels using the hashtag #RemoveItLockIt."
