£45,000 worth of cannabis has been found growing at a house in Weymouth.

Police officers carried out a raid on an address in Norfolk Road, after concerns were raised.

A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said:

"Concerns had been raised that the residents were being 'cuckooed' and the address was being used as base to store and sell controlled substances.

"As a result of the concerns raised, and further information obtained at scene, officers forced entry.

"Within the address, two Cannabis grows were located in the upstairs bedrooms, with a combined value of approximately £45,000.

"A male and female remain in Police custody and are assisting officers with their enquiries."
