Theft from Wimborne car by 'men armed with axe and baseball bats'

Cash was taken after three men were seen in the Colehill area

A car's been broken into in Wimborne, by three men 'in possession of an axe and baseball bats'.

Dorset Police tell us three men were seen shining torches into the garden of a property on Colehill Lane, at around 3.00am on Friday 29th September.

Cash was taken from the victim's car, before the offenders were disturbed by the occupants.

They left the area in a silver estate vehicle.

PC Matthew Cutler, of East Dorset police, said:

“Searches were carried out, but the vehicle was not located.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch. Also, I would like to hear from anyone who may have captured any footage of the suspects either on home CCTV or dashcam.”
