Teenager seriously injured in West Dorset crash

He's suffered potentially life-changing injuries

A teenage boy's been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a crash in Seaborough, near Beaminster, yesterday evening (Monday 9th May).

He was driving a green Stomp Mini Moto pit bike, which collided with a black Land Rover Freelander at about 7.00pm on an unnamed road.

The pit bike left the road in the collision and hit a stone wall.

The teenage rider was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment and his family have been informed.

The Land Rover wasn't damaged in the incident and the females driver wasn't hurt.

PC Chris Brolan, of the traffic unit, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Seaborough at or before the time of the incident and either witnessed what happened or saw either vehicle prior to the collision to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists or residents who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam or home CCTV.”
