Teenage boy interviewed by police after attempted robbery in Christchurch

A 15-year-old boy has been questioned by police, following an attempted robbery in Christchurch which left another teen with a stab wound to his leg.

Dorset Police was called at 10.13pm on Sunday 24 July to reports of an attempted robbery that occurred in the area of Dragoon Way.

It was reported that a 14-year-old boy was approached by an unknown group of people and demands were allegedly made for his mobile phone.

During the incident the victim reportedly sustained a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that were not life-changing or life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, a 15-year-old boy from Bournemouth has attended for a voluntary police interview.

"He has been released under investigation as officers conduct further enquiries."
