Man to appear in court over reported sexual assault on Weymouth Beach

A 19-year-old man is due to appear in court in connection with a report of sexual assault in Weymouth.
It was reported that a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted between 10pm and 11pm on Saturday 14 August 2021 on the beach near to the public toilets by the King’s Statue.
A 19-year-old man from Norfolk was arrested in connection with the incident.
He's now due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 16 February 2022 for an offence of sexual assault.
