Teenage girl sexually assaulted in Wareham

A man's alleged to have exposed himself during the incident

A teenage girl's been inappropriately touched by a man in Wareham - with him also alleged to have exposed himself.

Dorset Police tell us they had a report at around 9.00pm on Wednesday night (24th August) about a man exposing himself in the bridge area of The Quay.

Officers arrested a 42 year old man from Poole at the scene, on suspicion of incident exposure and being drunk and disorderly.

The teenage female victim hasn't been identified at this time.

There's an appeal for anyone who might have seen what happened to get in touch with police.

PC Ryan Higgins, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this matter and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone else with information that might assist our enquiries, to please come forward.

“I would also urge any motorists who were in the area to check their dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
