Swanage Post Office on the move to secure services

The existing site's coming to the end of its lease

The main Post Office in Swanage is on the move, in an effort to keep the service going.

The branch is relocating to Institute Road in the Autumn, as the existing site is coming to the end of its lease.

The postmaster’s been told the premises will no longer be available for Post Office use, so it's being moved to a more centrally located premises in the town centre.

The new premises will be undergoing a refurbishment to incorporate Swanage Post Office and a Stationery and Gifts store.

The Post Office will continue to offer the same products and services and the opening hours will remain as Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 1pm.

The current Post Office branch is scheduled to close on Wednesday 5th October at 5pm and it is scheduled to open at the new premises on Tuesday 11th October at 9am.

During the transfer alternative branches include:

• Heston Post Office, 208 High Street, Swanage, BH19 2PQ

• Valley Road Post Office, Valley Road, Swanage, BH19 3DX
