A man's been arrested after a drugs bust in Crossways.

Police carried out a search of an address in Mount Skippet Way on Friday (29 January)

The local Neighbourhood Policing Teams and patrol officers seized a number of items including substances believed to be controlled drugs.

A 53-year-old Dorchester man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He has now been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.

Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team say they would like to hear from anyone who has information of drug use within their community.

Police Constable Scott Williams, of Dorchester Police, said:

"I hope this warrant shows the community that we are taking action over suspected supply of drugs within Dorchester.

"It is, as ever, essential that residents of Dorchester and the surrounding area continue to tell us about the issues in their communities - whether this relates to suspected drug offences, or other related criminal activity.

"We will continue, with the help of our partner agencies, to address local concerns and priorities.
