Student cyclist injured after collision with bus on Portland
Emergency services were called to Weston Road yesterday afternoon
A young cyclist has escaped with minor injuries after a collision with a bus on Portland.
The accident happened on Weston Road yesterday afternoon.
Dorset Police say they were called to the scene at 3.20pm.
The cyclist involved was a student from Atlantic Academy.
A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:
"The cyclist thankfully only seems to have suffered minor injuries.
"The cyclist was wearing a helmet, which has possibly stopped more serious injury. Big thanks to SWAST, Portland Port Police and most of all the brilliant residents of Portland for helping at scene."
