South Western Ambulance Service 'still really busy' after bank holiday weekend
A critical incident was declared over the weekend by the emergency service.
Bosses are blaming extreme pressure for the busy period - with Saturday seeing them receive 3200 calls on that day alone.
The warm weather saw people flock to the south coast to enjoy the sunshine with lockdown restrictions eased.
The service is now asking people to only call 999 in an emergency - and call 111 or their GP for health advice.
