Six men arrested following drug stop in Bournemouth
Dorset Police have been carrying out proactive patrols
Six men have been arrested in Bournemouth on suspicion of drug and other offences, following a vehicle stop.
Officers pulled over a car in Lorne Park Road on Saturday evening (24th June).
Two people who were in the vehicle were detained for a search, with a quantity of suspected cannabis and a knuckle duster recovered.
A series of warrants were then conducted at several addresses in the Bournemouth area, with suspected illegal drugs, cash and a large amount of cigarettes, which are believed to be counterfeit, seized.
The arrests included:
- A 22-year-old man from Bradford in West Yorkshire, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs, possession of a class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon
- A 31-year-old Bournemouth man, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug and selling counterfeit tobacco products
- A 20-year-old man from London, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, possessing a class C drug with intent to supply and selling counterfeit tobacco products
- A 21-year-old Bournemouth man, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs, supplying a class C drug, possessing a psychoactive substance with intent to supply, possession of counterfeit currency, selling counterfeit tobacco products and handling stolen goods
- A 23-year-old local man arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs, possessing a class B drug, possessing an offensive weapon and theft
- A 27-year-old Bournemouth man, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs and possession of a class B drug
All six men have been released on bail, as officers carry out further enquiries.

“We are committed to taking positive action to disrupt the actions of those reported to be involved in the supply of illegal drugs and other criminal activity in our communities.
“This proactive vehicle stop by officers has led to the reported discovery of a quantity of suspected illegal drugs and counterfeit cigarettes and we are continuing to carry out a detailed investigation into this matter.
