Sewage tanker overturns near Weymouth

A big clean up operation was needed near Weymouth yesterday after a tanker containing sewage overturned.

The accident happened near Littlemoor at the Bincombe Bumps Roundabout.

There are no reports of anyone being injured.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"We were called at 12.40pm to reports of an overturned tanker at the Jurassic roundabout in Weymouth, leaking an unknown substance.

"Officers attended alongside the fire service and the local authority environmental health team was made aware.

"Recovery was arranged and the road reopened at around 6pm."
