Serving Dorset Police officer denies sexual offences
PC Ravi Canhye has appeared before Poole Magistrates
A serving Dorset Police officer has denied multiple sex offences, alleged to have been carried out when he was off duty.
PC Ravi Canhye has entered not guilty pleas at Poole Magistrates Court to two rapes, one attempted rape, and five sexual assaults today (Friday 3rd February).
The offences are alleged to have taken place on August 9th and 10th 2022, involving two victims.
Canhye, from Fernhill Close in Poole, has been given conditional bail to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court for a trial on 9th March.
He's been ordered not to contact three witnesses in the case, to not apply for a new passport, and to stay either at his own home or with cousins in Surrey.
Dorset Police say Canhye was suspended when the allegations were made and has remained suspended throughout the investigation.
