Man seriously injured following assault in Wimborne

Detectives are appealing for the public's help following an assault in Wimborne.

A man in his 50s suffered serious facial injuries some time between 10pm on Saturday 2 March and 12am on Sunday 3 March 2025 in Leigh Road.

The male suspect has been described as 6 feet 3, wearing blue jeans, a black jumper, white trainers and a black snood.

Detective Constable Matt Barrett, of Dorset County CID, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this incident and carried out extensive enquiries so far, including CCTV checks and house-to-house visits.

“After further liaison with the victim, I am now appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen what happened to please come forward.

“Similarly, if you have captured anything of relevance on CCTV or dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
