Searches continuing for missing teenager near Dorchester

Alice Bendall, also known as Alex, hasn't been seen since the weekend

A new photo and an updated description has been released by police in the search for a missing teenager from near Dorchester.

18 year old Alice Bendall, who's also known as Alex, was last seen at around 6.00pm on Saturday (11th February) on East Hill in Charminster.

Alice is described as:

  • Five feet six inches tall
  • Slim build
  • Short brown hair
  • May be wearing a green body warmer
  • Dark coloured jeans
  • Dr Martens boots with a green lace in one and a purple lace in the other
Alice, also known as Alex, was reported missing on Sunday afternoon (12th February)

Chief Inspector Andy Edwards, of Dorset Police, said:

“Alice’s disappearance is completely out of character and our officers are conducting extensive searches in the area.

“We are also receiving support from partner and voluntary agencies including National Police Air Service, Dorset Search and Rescue, Wiltshire Search and Rescue, Dorset Search Dogs, Hampshire Search & Rescue Dogs and Wessex 4x4.

“In our efforts, we are also continuing with house-to-house enquiries and I would like to reiterate our appeal for residents in the area with home CCTV or dashcam – particularly in East Hill, Westleaze, Vicarage Lane and Mill Lane – to please check whether they have any footage that might show Alice walking past.

“I would also like to appeal to Alice directly – if you see this appeal, please get in touch with us or your family as we all just want to ensure you are safe and well.”
