Search for man with young child seen kicking door in Weymouth

Police were called to reports of a man acting aggressively in Weymouth town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning

Weymouth Police are trying to trace a man and a young child after an incident in town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Dorset Police received a report at around 5.40am that a man was acting aggressively at an address in St Thomas Street in Weymouth.

It was reported that the man kicked a door, however no damage was caused.

It was further reported that the man was with a young child.

Officers attended and searched the area, but the man was not located.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"While there is nothing to suggest the child has come to any harm, enquiries are being carried out to locate them and ensure they are safe and well."
