Emergency services called to scaffolding truck collision in Bridport

Police, ambulance and fire services were called to East Street in Bridport to reports of a crash involving a van and a scaffolding truck.

One panel van had driven into the rear of a stationary lorry.

It happened at 7:34am this morning and it was reported that the road was blocked.

Two fire pumps were mobilised to the accident.

Crews used pedal cutters and small tools to release the driver who was then left in the care of the ambulance service

There were no reports of any serious injuries and officers left the scene at around 9.20am.
