The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have visited Salisbury Cathedral this morning (Monday 7th December).
Charles and Camilla were there to attend a service in celebration of the Cathedral's 800th anniversary.
They met the Dean of Salisbury, Nick Papadopulous, who led the service.
Their Royal Highnesses also unveiled a special engraved stone to mark the anniversary.
Salisbury MP John Glen tweeted to say:
"Disappointed to be stuck in Westminster today so was unable to be at Salisbury Cathedral for such a memorable celebration of 800 years. A real honour to have HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in Salisbury for this unique occasion."
This year marks eight centuries since Salisbury Cathedral relocated from Old Sarum to it's current site.
A whole programme of events was scheduled for this year to celebrate the big occasion, most of which were unfortunately cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
