Rider comes forward following fail-to-stop motorbike crash in Portesham

A man in his 20's was taken to hospital with serious injuries

A motorcyclist has now come forward after a fail to stop crash in Portesham.

Dorset Police was called at 11.32am on Sunday (14 August) to reports of a road traffic collision on the B3157 at Goose Hill involving two motorcycles that were travelling westbound toward Abbotsbury.

It is reported that the rider of one of the motorcycles failed to stop at the scene. Following enquiries, a male motorcyclist has come forward and is helping with enquiries. No arrests have been made.

The rider of the other motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Gavin Newbury, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and would urge anyone with information to please get in touch.”
