Resident finds burglar in Weymouth home

The victim couldn't get into a room as it was blocked by an offender

A resident's come home to their Weymouth property to find a man there, blocking entry to one of the rooms.

This happened in Ranelagh Road at around 5.30pm on Saturday (28th May).

The man then left the property.

Dorset Police are now investigating the burglary and officers carried out a local search on the day, but couldn't locate the offender.

PC Harry Chaplin, of Weymouth police, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please come forward.

“I would also be keen to hear from any motorists or residents who may have captured anything of significance on either dashcam or home CCTV systems.”
