A Red weather warning for wind for parts of Dorset has been issued by the Met Office with the arrival of Storm Eunice.

The rare highest alert - meaning a high impact is very likely - runs from 10am until 3pm on Friday.

It means there's a risk to life from flying debris - trees could be uprooted and power cables could come down in gusts topping 90-miles-per-hour.

Other parts of the county are still under an Amber warning.

The Met Office fears the storm will cause "significant disruption and dangerous conditions due to extremely strong winds".

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue are asking us not to all 999 if we see fallen down trees.

They say they are expecting to be very busy today.

West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team are also advising people to stay away from the coast today as we're expected to see large waves.
