Police investigating a public order incident in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers got a report of a man racially abusing a group of people at around 7.00pm outside the Nook cocktail bar on Tuesday evening (13th August).

They want anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward, saying they believe the area was busy at the time.

PC Chloe Longman, of Weymouth police, said:

“I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

“With it being the height of the summer season, there would have been a lot of tourists in the town at the time so I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened.

“I am also appealing to motorists driving in the area to please check their dashcams to see if they have recorded anything of relevance.”

If you can help with any information, you're asked to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55240124439.
