Racially aggravated assault in Blandford town centre

The incident began in a pub and continued into the street

A man's been subjected to what's believed to be a racially aggravated assault in Blandford town centre.

Dorset Police were called out to Salisbury Street at around 3.25am on Sunday (5th March).

It's thought the incident began in the Kings Arms Alehouse in Whitecliff Mill Street, involving two men.

The victim, who's in his 30s and from Bournemouth, wasn't seriously hurt, but was racially abused by the offender.

PC Mia Jakeman, of Dorset Police, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who saw the assault in the town centre to please come forward.

“If anyone has any footage, either on CCTV or dashcam, that may assist my enquiries, I would urge you to please get in touch.”
