Your chance to put Weymouth Town Council in the hot seat

Weymouth Town Council are asking for your questions on important local issues

Author: Maria GreenwoodPublished 25th Nov 2021

Weymouth residents have an opportunity to ask the town council about important local issues at the winter Town Assembly later this month.

Weymouth Town Council’s virtual event takes place on Monday 29th November at 7pm.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit any questions on the work of the council by 4pm on Friday 26th November.

Town councils must hold these meetings annually, with the last Town Assembly taking place in March. Councillors decided it was important to hold two assemblies a year.

Cllr Colin Huckle, Mayor of Weymouth, said:

"The Town Assembly is an excellent opportunity for residents to ask questions and discuss any community issues.

"It's also a chance to hear more about the work of the town council and how it is working in the interests of residents, the business community and visitors to our popular town.”

How to watch the meeting

Watch the meeting on Weymouth Town Council’s Facebook page, where questions will be addressed on the night. A recording of the Town Assembly will be published after the meeting.

To submit a question, email: office@weymouthtowncouncil.org.uk by 4pm on Friday 26th November.
