An address in Weymouth has been closed after repeated incidents of anti-social behaviour.

No one can enter the property in Lennox Street for 3 months if anyone's found in the property they could be arrested.

Police Constable Anneka Stone, of the Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

"Weymouth and Portland NPT are committed to tackling antisocial behaviour that effects our local community. In this case this property and its residents have caused anti-social behaviour which has affected the local residents for several months. During this time the Neighbourhood Policing Team executed numerous search warrants and several arrests have been made from the address. This evidence and the complaints from residents has then been used to obtain a full Closure Order at court today.

"We hope the residents see the benefit of this closure order and I would like to personally thank them for their support and patience in this situation. We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour that affects others. We urge the public to continue to report anti-social behaviour."

Anyone who has concerns about anti-social behaviour in their community is urged to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or call us on 101.
