Princess Anne visits Swanage coastwatch stations

She presented watchkeepers with long service awards.

Princess Anne's been visiting coastguards in Swanage to present them with long service awards.

She is the royal patron of the National Coastwatch Institute and arrived in Swanage by helicopter.

The Princess Royal attended an awards ceremony at Durlston Castle where she presented 10 watch keepers with awards, some of whom have been with the service for 15 years.

She also unveiled a plaque at St Alban's Head Coastwatch Station, which has been put in place following renovation works at the station.

Princess Anne also visited the station at Peveril Point, Swanage and Durlston Castle.

It's part of her ongoing tour of all 56 coastwatch stations across England and Wales.
