Postman targeted in Bournemouth attempted robbery
A man tried to take the victim's trolley and satchel
A postman in Bournemouth has been targeted in an attempted robbery incident.
The victim in his 40s, was delivering mail in Queens Park Avenue at around 9.50am on Friday 1st March, when a man approached him.
He tried to steal the post trolley and attempted to grab the postman's satchel before being pushed away.
The man got into the back of a silver Jaguar, parked on Mount Pleasant Drive.
The driver also got out and exchanged words with the victim before leaving the scene in the car.
Nothing was stolen and the postman wasn't injured.
PC Molly Macklin, of Bournemouth police, said:
“We are making enquiries into this incident, and I am appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.
“I am particularly keen to speak to the driver of the silver Jaguar.
“I would also urge motorists with dashcam who were in the area at the time, as well as residents with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, to please check their footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
