Two people have been cut from a car by fire crews after a crash involving another car near Portesham.

Emergency services were called to the B3157 at 11:21am today, when Police closed the road.

Two fire crews from Weymouth attended the Goose Hill accident and used hydraulic rescue equipment and small tools to release the two casualties.

They were working with colleagues from the ambulance service but left the scene at 12:41pm.

A Spokesperson from Dorset Police told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"Officers attended, along with the fire and ambulance services and road closures were put in place as emergency services responded to the incident.

"It looks like at least one person has been taken to hospital but we do not have any condition update or further details of any injuries at this stage.

"Recovery for the vehicles was arranged and the road reopened at around 1.50pm."
