Weymouth Police have stepped up patrols in Westham after complaints about bad driving and inconsiderate parking - particularly around the school run.

The Westham Neighbourhood Policing Team have conducted patrols of Longcroft Road.

A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:

"We have recently received complaints regarding the standard of driving and inconsiderate parking, particularly around school pick up and drop off times at this location.

"We will continue to monitor and work with our partners at Dorset Council to address these concerns.

"If you do have to drive to school, please park considerately and make sure entrances, crossing points and yellow zig-zags lines are kept clear to maintain a safe environment for children to come and go from the school.

"Or even better still, give yourself some extra time and #WalkToSchool"
