Police issue warning after cars targeted

Dorset police say a car was stolen and another theft had been attempted of a vehicle yesterday.

At approximately 1.35am on Thursday four people wearing balaclavas attempted to steal a Mercedes-AMG car from the driveway of an address in the Wallisdown area, they did not take that car.

A few hours later at around 3.15am, a Mercedes-AMG car was stolen during a similar incident in the East Howe area.

Police Constable Adam Carr, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway into both incidents to identify those responsible.

“I am issuing an image of one of the suspects to demonstrate the tactic that was used and would like to take the opportunity to remind the public to ensure their keyless vehicle is protected.”
