Police in Weymouth are reminding people to make sure they're following the lockdown restrictions - otherwise they could be fined.

Officers on patrol say they've seen an increase in the number of people in the town centre and on the Esplanade.

A spokesman for Weymouth and Portland Police said:

"Can we remind you that you should only be leaving your home for essential travel or exercise.

"You may be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice if you do not comply with Covid-19 regulations."
