Police investigation launched after second Weymouth rape
Dorset Police are investigating a second rape incident in Weymouth.
On Friday 11th September, officers received reports of a sexual attack on a woman in the early hours of Thursday morning.
It happened in an alleyway just off of Westhill Road.
It comes after the incident in Dennis Road, which officers are treating as separate.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said:
"The alleyway was cordoned off to allow officers to carry out enquiries in the area. The cordon was lifted at around 4.20pm.
"Local officers can be approached with any community concerns. An investigation is underway.
"There is no information at this stage to indicate this is in any way linked to the incident in Dennis Road."
