Police concerns over anti-social behaviour in Lyme Regis
Incidents have been reported in outbuildings off Charmouth Road
Police in Lyme Regis are asking parents to speak to children about this risks of using derelict buildings to hang out, after a series of reported incidents.
Officers have been patrolling outbuildings on land next to the allotments off Charmouth Road.
They've said another agency has been visiting the site once a week and finding new evidence of graffiti, burnt candles, smashed glass, and empty drinks cans on every occasion.
Police have also found evidence on bonfires being lit inside the buildings too.
In a social media post, officers have said:
"We would like to make all parents and carers aware of the location and ask you to speak to your children and make them aware of the risks.
"Hot, dry conditions means fire will spread quickly and easily, which could cause devastation and injury."
