Officers are issuing an image of a man they wish to identify following an attempted robbery in Bournemouth.

At around 3.00am on Tuesday (10th September) the victim – a man in his 30s – was at the Natwest cash machine in Old Christchurch Road when he was approached by another man.

It's reported the man demanded money from the victim and made threats of violence unless he complied.

They managed to run away and nothing was taken.

Police Constable Rio Baker, of Bournemouth police, said:

“We have been carrying out enquiries into this attempted robbery and I am now in a position to issue an image of a man we wish to identify.

“I would urge anybody who recognises him, or has knowledge of his identity, to please contact us.”
