Police appeal for driver of car that hit a wall in North Dorset

Officers are appealing for information to identify the driver of a vehicle involved that crashed into a car in North Dorset.

At around 7pm on Sunday 12th September 2021 a single vehicle collision occurred involving a black Ford Kuga near to St John the Baptist Church. It was reported that the vehicle collided with a low-level brick wall.

Officers attended, but the occupants of the vehicle had left prior to police arrival.

Enquiries were carried out and on Wednesday 29 September 2021 a man was voluntarily interviewed in connection with the incident. No arrests have been made.

Police Constable Paul Cleal, of North Dorset police, said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident to try and establish who was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision.

“Our investigation has now led us to be in a position where I need witnesses to help me with my enquiries so that I can identify the driver.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened or captured anything of relevance on dashcam to please come forward.”
