Police appeal after assault on Portland
Officers say they are still trying to trace the victim
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was reportedly assaulted near the Britannia Inn in Fortuneswell, Portland.
Dorset Police received a report at 8.22pm on Thursday, 6th November 2025, of a disturbance in the area.
It was reported that during the incident, a man was assaulted and sustained a minor facial injury.
Police Constable Chloe Seaward, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the vicinity on the evening of Thursday, 6th November 2025, and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.
“Finally, we have been carrying out enquiries to locate the victim of the assault but have so far been unsuccessful. If you were involved, please get in touch – we just want to make sure you are OK.”
