Passenger found in car boot after suspected drink driver stopped in Weymouth
Police say they got a bit of a surprise
Police who stopped suspected drink driver in Weymouth got a bit of a surprise.
Officers found a passenger in the boot of the car.
A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:
"Following reports of a possible drink driver in Weymouth town centre earlier this morning, officers from Weymouth & Portland Purple Squad located and stopped the vehicle on The Esplanade.
"Officers had a bit of a surprise when they found a male passenger in the boot of the car.
"The driver failed a roadside breath test but later passed the evidential breath test at the police station. He was issued with a Traffic Offence Report in relation to the passenger in the boot which will likely result in some points on his license and a fine or a court appearance."
