If you haven't remembered, it's Shrove Tuesday today (1st March), which can only mean one thing... the traditional pancake race at Wimborne!

The event's coming back after a year's absence due to Covid restrictions.

Anyone's welcome to take part, you just have to turn up at 10.30am at the north porch of the Minster Church of St Cuthgurga.

The races will start from 11.00am, with runners asked to bring their own frying pan and pre-cooked pancake along.

The aim is simple - be the fastest around the Minster, but you must toss the pancake on each corner.

The winner will be presented with the 'John Loader Memorial Cup' and receive a prize.

As well as the over 18s race, there'll also be races for children, split into 4 to 9, 9 to 13 and 13 to 18 age categories.
