Dorset Police say they are now talking to the owners of a dog that allegedly bit a woman in Swana

The owners of a dog that reportedly bite a woman in Swanage have come forward.

As previously reported by Greatest Hits Radio Dorset, the incident happened at around 10.30am on Tuesday 5 October 2021 on the Priest’s Way track near to Belle Vue Farm.

Dorset Police say it was reported that a woman aged in her 30s was bitten on the calf by a large dog, which was off the lead.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Following enquiries and a public appeal, the owners of the dog involved have come forward and are assisting with an investigation into the incident. No arrests have been made."
