One person rescued from flat fire in Poundbury
Firefighters saw them lying on the floor
One person has been rescued from a flat fire in Poundbury in Dorchester.
Firefighters from Dorchester were called out yesterday afternoon to investigate an alarm.
They saw one person on the floor and the flat was filled with smoke.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Fire Station said:
"Crews quickly gained entry and found the cause of the smoke to be from burning cooking. Crews also gave first aid until the arrival of the ambulance.
"Due to working fire alarms this was quickly dealt with and stopped this incident becoming much more serious."
