North Dorset school falls victim to burglary

Port Regis School in Motcombe has been targeted

A North Dorset school has been burgled, with a large amount of machinery and an all-terrain vehicle taken.

Thieves broke in to the maintenance yard at Port Regis School in Motcomber, some time between 9.00pm on Monday (25th April) and 3.00am on Tuesday (26th April).

There's now an appeal for any witnesses to come forward.

PC Neil Hawkes, of North Dorset police, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who has any information relating to this burglary or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the night of Monday 25 April 2022 to please contact us.

“From our enquiries we understand a high-top transit van may have been used in this offence and I would urge anyone who witnessed such a vehicle in the vicinity around the relevant time, or who may have captured anything on dashcam footage, to get in touch.”
