Music equipment stolen from vehicle in Bournemouth car park
A guitar's been recovered but other kit is still missing
A large amount of music equipment has been stolen from a vehicle parked in Bournemouth.
The theft happened at the Richmond Hill car park in the early hours of Sunday (11th February).
The victim's guitar was later recovered by police, with help from town rangers and CCTV operators.
A 36 year old man from Bournemouth was found in possession of suspected stolen items and arrested.
He's since been charged with handling stolen goods and is due to appear before Poole Magistrates on March 18th.
Some equipment remains missing though including:
- A Shure SM58 microphone, which is grey and slightly dented at the top
- A Yamaha MG16 16-channel mixing desk
- Various cables and leads
- A Boss RC-600 loop station in cherry red with silver knobs
- A red Scarlet 2i2 audio interface with grey knobs
- A silver Rode Studio NT1 Gen 5 microphone with pop filter
PC Jamie Davis, of Bournemouth police, said:
“The victim in this case is a professional musician and the loss of these items has impacted his livelihood. We are carrying out enquiries to try and identify who is responsible for this theft and to recover the stolen goods.
“I am issuing an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation and would urge anyone who recognises him to please come forward.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who comes across music equipment matching the descriptions given above being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances.”
