A motorcyclist in his 20s has been left with serious injuries in a single-vehicle collision in Poole.

The white Honda bike crashed in Sandbanks Road at Evening Hill yesterday evening (Sunday 27th April) at around 7.50pm.

The injuries of the rider aren't believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

A woman in his 30s, also on the motorbike, was taken to hospital with injuries, and she's since been discharged from hospital.

The road was closed for just over three hours while emergency services carried out investigations.

There's now an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to contact police:

Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Dorset Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or the manner of riding of the vehicle involved prior to it, to please make contact with us.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
